The class of 2022 will soon be on track at Oschersleben for their pre-season test
The Northern Talent Cup season opener is now only a month away and ahead of that first round alongside MotoGP™ at Le Mans, the NTC class of 2022 have two days of pre-season testing. Oschersleben, where the grid will also return for Round 2 in May, hosts the test from the 16th to the 17th of April.
The field is 26-deep this season, and half the field are rookies – with plenty points to prove up and down the grid. The test will allow many to get back in the groove and, for the newcomers, it’s a chance to try their new KTM machinery out on timesheets shared by their new competitors. It’s also a perfect opportunity to work towards the second round of the season, which will also take place at Oschersleben.
Hungarian Rossi Moor (Fairium Next Generation Riders Team) arrives into 2022 as the pre-season favourite after fighting for the crown last year, and he’ll be the rider with the target on his back and hoping to hit the ground running.
The likes of Kevin Farkas (Agria Racing Team), Tibor Erik Varga (Forty Racing), Lennoxx Phommara (Phommara Team) and Loris Veneman (TeamNL Open Line) have all had experience at the front too – including visits to the podium for some. Will they retain the upper hand against the rookies?
Time will tell, beginning with the first track action of the season at Oschersleben. Check out social media and northerntalentcup.com for updates from the weekend, and then get in gear for another season of classic action in the NTC!
