Preparation for another season racing on the Road to MotoGP™ is about to begin
The start of the 2024 Northern Talent Cup is just around the corner, with a pre-season test at Oschersleben on the 6th and 7th of April. The test will serve as a crucial opportunity for the 24 talented riders from Northern Europe to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. The first round will be held alongside the Superbike World Championship at Assen from the 19th April to the 21st April.
This year’s field features 10 new talented rookies eager to make their mark on the grid. Alongside the newcomers, we will see some familiar faces such as NTC race winners Martin Vincze (VM Racing Team), Levin Phommara (Phommara-Racing), and the Best Rookie of 2022, Jurrien Van Crugten (BB64 Academy). The NTC is also excited to announce the return of David Sidorov (Arda Moto Racing Team) following a period on the sidelines due to injury.
The pre-season test at Oschersleben will be the perfect opportunity for the riders to get a feel for their new machinery, as the NTC switches to the Honda NSF250 R. This switch brings the NTC in line with similar competitions such as the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, and like much of the Road to MotoGP™ the Cup also welcomes Pirelli as the official tyre supplier. Motul also joins as the official lubricant supplier and the Cup switches to E40 fuel to take a key step in sustainability as an exciting new era begins for this key path on the Road to MotoGP™.
